Chugging through the Wheat

The daily branch line freight chugs it’s way through the wheat fields of Washington as it delivers its cargo. Amongst the freight is a pair of brand new Caterpillar Sixty crawler tractors from California. It’ll soon reach the farmers that order the new machines for this years harvest.

After spending time out here in eastern Washington, I was motivated to make a piece based on my surroundings. So I took an old drawing and worked it into this new picture of a freight heading through the area. I even took the time to draw the two tractors as a nice wave to the plowing bee since the folks there were really nice. Anyway, enjoy my new picture.
