Carolwood Pacific's California Limited

All aboard the California Limited.

This part of a small portfolio project that I never completed. The concept was to make pictures based around a fictional version of Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific Railroad. All of the pics would involve telling the story of Disney's history through trains. This involved with characters interacting with it or just details that were based on key moments in Disney history. However, it has been on hold for a while.

Anyway, enjoy the sight of a turn of a century train heading to the sunset.

Pt. 1/2 The locomotive was actually based on Sierra Railway No. 3 as it appeared in Back To The Future Pt. 3. The only changes are the straight stack and the "CP" on the steam dome. This logo came from a small Central Pacific button.

This rear end observation car is based on the Lilly Belle coach at Disneyland. While small changes were done to make distinct from the real car, it's enough to show off my new piece.
